Net Neutrality

Net Neutrailty, Save the Internet, Ajit Pai, FCC, ISP ... you've heard these terms a lot lately - but what does it all mean?

To put it simply, net neutrality describes how we have always known the internet to work.  When you go online, you can check the score of a game, watch a movie, check your email, buy concert tickets, whatever ... all under one internet connection.

What the current head of the FCC, Ajit Pai, wants to do is prohibit you from doing all of this with one internet package - like you probably have now from your Internet Service Providers - or ISP - like Comcast or Verizon.  With the repeal of net neutraility, ISP's will be allowed to charge you for internet services a la carte.  So instead of paying one monthly fee for going online - your bill will be based on what you do online.  Kind of like going to a fancy restaurant where your entree doesn't come with any sides ... you want mashed potatos with your ribeye? That's an extra $13.99.

Sound good? Not so much.  But what can you do about this?
