The information in this report covers the time period beginning June 1, 2010 to and including May 31, 2011. The FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule requires that this report contain the following information:

1. A List of all full-time vacancies filled by the Stations comprising the Station Employment Unit during the application period.
2. For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy.
3. The recruitment source that referred the hiree for each full-time vacancies during the applicable period and the total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and
4. A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to section 73.2080(c) (s) of the FCC rules

III. SUPPLEMENTAL RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES:

1) Establishment of an intern program designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment. Empire Broadcasting System, Inc. conducts an intern program year round which specifically targets local students. This year, 3 interns worked at the studios, assisting on air talent and marketing staff. The interns actively participate in the development of marketing strategies in addition to the full on inclusion and training of on air commercial production, music selection systems, and managing station appearances and remote broadcasts.

Participation in job banks, internet programs, and other programs designed to promote outreach generally.

Empire Broadcasting System, Inc. participates in web outreach initiatives in Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Queen Anne’s Counties that impact a broad range of females and minorities, and offers information about employment positions available. Web sources listed above

Empire Broadcasting, from time to time, participates in local and regional job fairs in an effort to provide broad outreach and educate potential candidates about job vacancies within our company. One such event was the EmploymentGuide.com HIRECommitment Job Fair at the Baltimore Convention Center on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. WRNR Managers Michael Hughes and Dawn Costigan were on site meeting with potential candidates and conducting on-site interviews for open positions.


Establishment of training programs designed to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions. Empire Broadcasting System, Inc. provides training to current employees involved in the traffic, sales, programming and marketing departments which enable them to gain specific skills needed for promotion.
